Deep Healing Guide to the Chakras | Part 3: The Solar Plexus – The Flame of Inner Power and Self-Worth

Deep Healing Guide to the Chakras | Part 3: The Solar Plexus – The Flame of Inner Power and Self-Worth

Have you ever had moments like these?

You know you’re capable of doing something well, yet you shrink back at the critical moment, a voice inside whispering, "You can’t do this."

You have your own ideas, but you’re afraid to speak up—fearing rejection, conflict, or making others unhappy.

You work incredibly hard, yet it never feels like enough; you’re constantly chasing the next achievement just to "prove" yourself.

Or perhaps it’s the opposite—you have an intense need for control. You feel you must have the final say in everything and cannot handle things going off-script, feeling that "if I don’t hold everything together, it will all collapse."

None of this is your fault.

These are signals from your third chakra—the Solar Plexus.

It is telling you: You have lost touch with your own power.

What is the Solar Plexus Chakra?

The Solar Plexus is located in the upper abdomen, around the stomach area—below the diaphragm and above the navel. Its Sanskrit name is Manipura, which means "Lustrous Gem" or "City of Jewels." This is because this center is where our inner radiance resides.

If the Root Chakra is our "root" and the Sacral Chakra is our "river," then the Solar Plexus is our "fire."

It is the seat of our personal power—the energy center for willpower, action, self-worth, and inner drive. Physically, it governs the digestive system, metabolism, pancreas, liver, and gallbladder. Energetically, it is responsible for how we face the world, how we make decisions, how we defend our boundaries, and—ultimately—whether we believe in ourselves.

Think of the Solar Plexus as a fire.

A healthy fire is warm, bright, and vital. It gives you the energy to take action, the courage to express yourself, and the strength to accomplish what you truly desire. It allows you to stand tall in a crowd, face challenges without flinching, and get back up after a failure.

But when this fire is too weak, you feel powerless, timid, and indecisive. You feel "not good enough" and constantly seek external validation.

When this fire is too intense, you become controlling, aggressive, and unable to relax. You are always "on edge," fearing that if you let go, you will lose everything.

In either case, a wall has been built between you and your true power.

What State is Your Solar Plexus In?

When the Solar Plexus is balanced, you feel:

  • Full of self-confidence, not relying on external praise to confirm your value.
  • Clear about your boundaries; you can say "no" and accept "no" from others.
  • Strongly driven to turn your ideas into reality.
  • Steady and powerful when facing challenges, not easily swayed by outside opinions.
  • Capable of being both independent and a collaborative partner.

When the Solar Plexus is imbalanced, you may experience:

Signs of Underactive Energy:

  • Low self-esteem and self-doubt; a constant feeling of "I can't."
  • Indecisiveness and difficulty making choices.
  • Being easily influenced by others; a "people-pleasing" personality.
  • Lack of follow-through; having many ideas that never leave the "thinking" stage.
  • Feeling that you don't "deserve" a better life.

Signs of Overactive Energy:

  • A strong need for control; inability to accept things being out of your hands.
  • Easily angered; "exploding" over small matters.
  • Perfectionism; being overly harsh on yourself and others.
  • Workaholism; inability to relax, feeling that "everything will fail if I stop."
  • Hyper-competitiveness; a constant need to prove you are better than others.

Though these two states seem opposite, they share the same root: You have lost touch with your inherent worth.

This disconnection often begins in childhood—being compared to others, being dismissed, being told to "just be obedient," or being fed the narrative that "you aren't good enough." Consequently, you learned to look outward for validation, using grades or the opinions of others to confirm you are "useful."

The fire is still there; it’s just covered in ash.

But the more you live this way, the further you drift from your own power.

How to Clear the "Ash" and Reignite Your Solar Plexus?

There are many ways to do this, but I want to share a very direct and simple method: Crystals.

You don’t need complex rituals, and you don’t even need to "believe" in them. You simply need to keep them near your body.

A crystal’s vibrational frequency is stable and consistent, unlike our fluctuating emotions. When you place a crystal near your body, its energy field resonates with yours. This isn't mysticism; the piezoelectric effect is a well-known principle in physics. Crystals release stable electromagnetic frequencies when subjected to pressure or temperature changes. Since the human body is also an electromagnetic system, when the two meet, the more stable frequency helps the other stabilize.

In other words, your body knows exactly what to do.

Which Crystals are Best for the Solar Plexus?

If Root Chakra crystals are "earth" and Sacral crystals are "water," then Solar Plexus crystals are "fire"—they help us ignite our inner strength and illuminate our self-worth.

Here are three core partners I’ve selected for your Solar Plexus healing journey:

1. Citrine: The Source of Confidence and Abundance

Citrine is a member of the quartz family, ranging from soft lemon yellow to rich honey gold. Its name comes from the Latin citrus. In Western tradition, it is known as the "Merchant's Stone," believed to bring abundance and success.

  • How to Choose: Look for uniform color and high transparency. Natural citrine usually has subtle color variations.
  • Energy Profile: Its energy is bright, light, and uplifting. It activates the Solar Plexus, boosting confidence and decisiveness, helping you shift from "I can't" to "I can." It also opens your capacity to receive wealth and resources.
  • My Advice: Wear a citrine bracelet on your left hand (the receiving side). Before a big decision, interview, or speech, hold it for a few minutes, breathe deeply, and imagine golden light flowing from the stone into your abdomen. Set a simple intention: "I believe in myself; I am worthy of abundance."

2. Tiger’s Eye: The Guardian of Power and Grounding

Tiger’s Eye is a chatoyant quartz that displays a "cat-eye" effect when moved under light. Ancient Roman soldiers wore it for courage and protection on the battlefield.

  • How to Choose: Look for a bright luster and a sharp "eye" effect that moves with the light. Golden-yellow is ideal.
  • Energy Profile: Unlike the lightness of Citrine, Tiger’s Eye is more "grounding." It enhances willpower and helps translate thoughts into action—perfect for those who "think too much and do too little." It also helps establish clear psychological boundaries.
  • My Advice: This is for those who need "execution power." When you feel stuck in your head, hold Tiger’s Eye in your right hand (the hand of action) and feel its solid weight.

3. Yellow Agate: The Gentle Return of Power

Yellow Agate is a warm, translucent stone often featuring natural concentric bands. It is traditionally used as an amulet to stabilize one's inner rhythm and protect against external disturbances.

  • How to Choose: Look for a smooth, delicate texture and natural, saturated yellow tones. Avoid stones that look overly "neon" or artificial.
  • Energy Profile: Its energy is about "containment and flow." It isn't aggressive; rather, it helps you digest emotions and accept change. It is perfect for those who feel anxious or tense in a fast-paced life.
  • My Advice: Use this to "steady yourself." When feeling overwhelmed, hold it in your left hand and close your eyes. Wearing it against your skin (as a pendant or bracelet) provides a soft, lasting effect.

Other Recommendations:

  • Sunstone: Brings joy and vitality; clears the fog of self-doubt.
  • Rutilated Quartz: Strong action and manifestation energy for those needing a breakthrough.
  • Pyrite (Fool’s Gold): Enhances masculine energy, helping build confidence and boundaries.
  • Selenite: Clears energy blockages and helps connect with your Higher Self.

How to Connect with Your Crystal: Igniting the Inner Fire

The Solar Plexus governs self-power and action. These crystals aren't just meant to soothe; they are meant to awaken and activate.

Step 1: Purify and Activate

Cleanse your crystal with running water (note: do not soak calcite), moonlight, or sound. Afterward, place the crystal on your Solar Plexus (the stomach area), sit quietly for 5-10 minutes, and imagine a golden flame in your abdomen growing stronger with every breath.

Step 2: Daily Use

  • Wear it: Keep the crystal between your chest and navel. Set an intention: "I believe in myself; I have the power to face anything."
  • Meditation: While sitting or lying down, place the crystal on your stomach. Feel the rise and fall of your breath, imagining the golden light getting brighter.
  • Decision Support: When facing a choice, hold the crystal and ask: "What is my true will?" Let the answer rise from your gut, not your analytical mind.

Step 3: Regular Cleansing

Cleanse your crystal weekly. If it feels "heavy" or "dull," or if you feel particularly low on energy, it’s time to reactivate your connection.

Solar Plexus Deep Healing Meditation

(Best used with your chosen and cleansed Solar Plexus crystal.)

Find a quiet space. Sit or stand with a straight spine. If possible, light a yellow or gold candle.

Preparation (5 mins):

Sit comfortably. Place the crystal on your stomach, covering it with both hands. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Silently say: "I am ready to connect with my power. I am worthy of my own light."

Body Scan (5 mins):

Bring your attention to your upper abdomen. Feel the temperature there—is it cold or warm? Is it tight or soft? Don't try to change it; just observe. If you feel tension, gently say to it: "I see you."

Energy Activation (10 mins):

Imagine a golden ball of light in your stomach. At first, it might be small or shrouded in gray mist. Just watch it.

With every inhale, the light grows brighter. With every exhale, the gray mist dissipates. Imagine a fire being lit deep in your core. It might be a tiny flame, but it is alive, and it is yours.

Let this golden fire spread, warming your stomach, your back, and your entire torso. It isn't burning; it is steady and empowering.

Now, imagine standing on open ground. Your feet are rooted, and golden sunlight is pouring over you. Your inner fire burns independently of anyone else’s approval—it is there simply because you are here.

Affirmations (5 mins):

Repeat the affirmation that resonates most, seven times:

  • "I believe in myself."
  • "I have the power to make choices."
  • "My value does not need to be proven."
  • "I am worthy of what I desire."
  • "I am brave enough to shine."

Return (5 mins):

Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath. Move your fingers and toes. Rub your hands together until warm and place them on your stomach. Thank your body and your crystal. Slowly open your eyes.

Healing the Solar Plexus isn't about becoming "tougher" or more "aggressive." It’s about returning to a simple truth: Your existence itself is valuable. You don't need to prove it, fight for it, or become "good enough."

You already are.

That fire has always been there. It was just buried under too many "shoulds" and "you can'ts." Healing is the process of clearing away the ash, one layer at a time. You will find that the flame never actually went out.

This week, start with one small thing:

Choose a Solar Plexus crystal that resonates with you. Spend a few minutes with it daily. Complete one small task you’ve been procrastinating on, and tell yourself: "I did it." The next time someone asks you to do something you don't want to do, try saying a gentle "no."

In the next part, we will explore the fourth chakra—the Heart Chakra, the center of love, compassion, and connection.

Until then, remember: You don't need to be perfect to be worthy of love. You don't need to prove anything to have value. You are the light.

"The fire has been waiting for you to light yourself up."
